Publication Policies

Research Misconduct and Ethical Oversight 

The Journal of Phytological Research strictly understands and follows publication ethics to ensure high-quality scientific publications and public trust in scientific findings. The journal does not favor data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, multiple submissions in different publications, redundant publications, and improper author contributions. 

Ethical guidelines must be followed by the authors related to research involving human, animals, and related sensitive data. Ethical approval from the relevant institution and firm must be taken and documented in the manuscript. The ethical standards must be accepted by the authors before submission of manuscript. All manuscripts published in the journal must have been conducted according to international and local guidelines ensuring ethically conducted research. Ethics approval should have been obtained before the research is conducted. Authors must be prepared to provide further information to the journal editorial office upon request

Plagiarism Policy

This journal is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism in any form. Manuscripts found to be plagiarized during the initial stages of review are outright rejected and not considered for publication in the journal. We define plagiarism as a case in which a paper reproduces another work with more than 10 % similarity without citation.

If evidence of plagiarism is found before/after acceptance of the paper, the author will be offered a chance to revise the manuscript. If the arguments are not found to be satisfactory, the manuscript will be rejected. 

Data Sharing and Reproducibility

The editor and the reviewer shall have the access to the submitted manuscript including any supplementary data and appendices. However, the journal does not store or use the raw data related to submitted manuscript for any other use. The data verification and data sharing responsibility remains with the author who have conducted and submitted the article. While submission, the authors are requested to confirm the data access authority, data sharing,  and submission by all the authors of the manuscript. The journal will publish all relevant statements provided by the authors. It is the author’s responsibility prior to submission to secure all permissions related to copyright consent, data sharing, and other research related permissions from any author, authority, institute or organisation. 

The Journal or any of its section cannot be reproduced, stored or transmitted in any form or by any other means, electronic, mechanical photocopying, recording or otherwise, without prior permission of The Journal of Phytological Research.

The authors are required to include a data sharing statement regarding sharing the data with additional documents if required and the access criteria with the journal. 

Declarations Regarding Ethics and Malpractice 

Manuscripts with clinical findings related to humans and animals should enclose a consent statement of the patients or animal welfare and concerned committee. The clinical studies should have been according to the ethical regulations of the country/institute that conducted the research.  

The Journal of Phytological Research is committed to understanding and upholding the integrity of the publication and scientific community. The journal strictly follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to deal with ethics and malpractice acts.  The journal follows the guidelines on all aspects of ethics and malpractice related to publication, research, and other responsibilities of the editors, reviewers, and authors. 

Copyright Agreement and License Information

The journal seeks copyright agreements from all the authors of the manuscript for original contributions and non-plagiarized original work. It should not have been published anywhere or under process in any other journal. The journal is authorized by all the authors to publish the manuscript after editing and modifications. The editorial board or the publication households no responsibility for discrepancies and disputes after publication.
